Ken Alexander is a consummate renaissance man. A mountain man at heart, Alexander is the founder of Architects Collaborative where he is the lead architect and general contractor. His love of Colorado and the Southwest began 45 years ago when he moved from Michigan to Boulder where he got his degree in Environmental design from University of Colorado. Over his esteemed career he has built and developed more than 50 residential projects and close to 100 commercial projects. The magnificence of nature and being outdoors is Ken’s muse each and every day. He and his wife, Joelle, live in Telluride, where you can often find Ken at 11,000 feet skiing his favorite double back diamond runs and sipping on fine wine at Bon Vivant or 100 feet below the surface of the ocean diving while captaining boats in the Caribbean. Ken also is an avid hiker, biker, cyclist and rafter.
Kudos to Ken who did a wonderful job as the Architect, making the house both beautiful and usable. Ken also managed the oversight on the construction bringing in the project on budget and on time. My best statement is that I now consider ken a friend, which is rare after going through these type of projects.
Ken has worked on two major projects for us he has special talents for interior and exterior design, functionality, and really takes the time to understand our needs. He has truly maximized views in difficult situations as well as suggested solutions to optimize our projects whenever possible. Ken always maximizes cost effectiveness in his designs.
Ken spent a lot of time listening to our needs and built a gorgeous home for us. He had many creative ideas that we incorporated into our design. The building experience was very enjoyable because we had such a trusting working relationship.
